We think day and night optical scopes are the best scope to work with a thermal scout. Thermal scopes are powerful tools, but it has drawbacks, sometimes thermal scope only could mis-identify the target, even mistaken human as animals. An optical scope work with a thermal scout woud correct this drawback, it will never mis-indentify a human for a animal, this save quite a lot of cost, because optical scopes are cheaper.
In low light conditions, optical scopes also has drawbacks in indentifying target in bushes, if it has a thermal lens, it would be a so helpful. To buy a thermal and optical scope means you need to sell the optical scope and buy a new thermal and optical scope, it's quite a sum of money. By adding on an external thermal lens, it turns into a Multispectral Digital Scope, save lots of money here

External Battery
All of BALLIBOT products will use almost the same type of regular extenal battery, BalliMuta uses one 21700 li-ion battery, because we understand the pains every user had experienced.
The 1st pain is the extra batteries of other brand scopes costs a small fortune to buy, the charging devices cost even more. Whereas regular batteries can be obtained at the frational costs, it will greatly lower the costs to use.
The 2nd pain is a night hunter always carry more than one kind of night vision gear, every gear has its own set of battery and charging device, a hunting trip has carry a heavy load of batteries and charging devices.
